Due Diligence Group Manager
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title. Remove boilerplate, EEO, etc. Must preserve all substantive info.
Let's parse the posting.
Content:
- Intro: "V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Due Diligence Group Manager where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world. This position can be seated in either our Woodridge IL, Chicago IL, or Indianapolis offices. You'll change the shape of your community by finding new solutions for previously uninhabitable land, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Environmental team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America."
That's about the role. Could be "About the role" section.
- "Here's What You'll Do" then list of duties:
Primary role of the Due Diligence Group Manager is to lead and manage the environmental due diligence group. Projects may include:
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Environmental compliance audits
- Providing environmental consulting services for real estate transactions and redevelopment.
- Evaluate all types of real estate, business transactions and industrial operations.
- Analyze and recognize potential environmental impact and compliance issues, as well as legacy environmental liabilities, and provide clear and concise findings, recommendations, and options regarding client deliverables.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence products, including multi-site portfolios and teams in support of financial and industrial mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions.
- Supporting development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow environmental due diligence work with existing and new clients.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, including identifying new opportunities and preparing technical and cost proposals.
- Lead, mentor, and support project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget goals.
- Participate in professional development through conferences and continuing education.
- Contribute to V3’s One Team culture by assisting on projects beyond core responsibilities.
That's responsibilities.
- "Candidates will have experience with the following Technical/Regulatory Program Areas:" then list:
- ASTM Standard Phase I ESA / All Appropriate Inquiry Transaction Screens
- Records Search and Risk Assessments
- Environmental Compliance Assessments
That could be under Requirements or Qualifications? Might be "Requirements" or "Qualifications". We'll decide.
- "We're Looking For" then bullet list:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, health, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental due diligence, compliance evaluations, and applicable EH&S laws and regulations.
- Experience with regulatory site closure and remediation (preferred).
- Certification or licensure in field of expertise (preferred).
- Proven ability to assess diverse property, industry, and transaction types.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations with excellent research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage clients, teams, contractors, and regulators.
- Skilled at translating environmental and regulatory issues into clear business terms for clients.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Demonstrated business development success and professional engagement.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License
That's qualifications/requirements/skills.
- "We Offer" then bullet list:
- Competitive salary, benefits, and performance-based bonuses.
- Health Savings Account with V3 funding contribution.
- Retirement plan with up to 6% company 401k match.
- Paid time off, holidays, and volunteer paid time off.
- Professional development opportunities.
- Collaborative and supportive work environment.
That's Benefits.
- Then "Explore our website..." is boilerplate? Might be considered navigation? It's a link to learn more; could be considered boilerplate? It's not EEO but it's a promotional link. Might be considered not essential; but we can keep? The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The "Explore our website..." is not exactly those categories but could be considered navigation? It's a link to learn more about us; maybe we can keep as part of About the role? But it's not essential. Safer to drop it as it's not substantive job info.
- Then "Why V3?" section with bullet points:
- We empower our people with the skills and spirit to achieve their goals and make impactful transformations in the places we live and work.
- Our growing firm has offices in Alberta, the Carolinas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, allowing for expert collaboration across North America.
- Working With Us Opens The Door To Exciting projects that positively influence the world around you
- Goal-driven career development, training, and mentorship programs
- Cutting-edge technology with a dedicated technology advancement committee
- Employee-led enrichment programs devoted to wellness, community impact, and more
- Firm ownership opportunities
- Your professional aspirations are our top priority: this is your career, and we’re here to support that vision.
- With the right team, you can change the world.
- Join V3 and go beyond limits.
These are more about company culture; could be considered "About the role" or maybe a separate section like "About V3". But we only have allowed headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We could put some of this under About the role (expanding). However we must not create sections with filler. The "Why V3?" content is substantive but not exactly about the role; but we could incorporate into About the role as additional description. That's okay.
- Then "V3 IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Veteran / Disability" is EEO boilerplate; must remove.
Thus we need sections:
- About the role: include intro paragraph plus maybe Why V3 points? Could be separate but we can incorporate.
- Responsibilities: the list under "Here's What You'll Do".
- Requirements: maybe combine "Candidates will have experience with the following Technical/Regulatory Program Areas:" and "We're Looking For" bullet list? But we need to avoid duplication. Could have Requirements (technical experience) and Qualifications (education, experience). Or Skills (soft skills). Let's map:
We have:
- Technical/Regulatory Program Areas (specific experience areas) -> could be Requirements.
- We're Looking For list includes education, years experience, preferred certifications, abilities, etc. That could be Qualifications and Skills.
We need to decide sections to avoid too many thin ones. Perhaps combine Requirements and Qualifications into one section? But headings are distinct; we can choose to include both if they have substantive content. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications (covering education, experience, certifications, skills), Benefits. Possibly also Skills? But Qualifications could include skills. Let's see.
We have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: 10+ years.
- Preferred: regulatory site closure, certification/licensure, OSHA HAZWOPER, driver's license.
- Abilities: assess diverse property, knowledge of regulations, communication skills, translating issues, thrive fast-paced, multitasking, business development.
These are a mix of qualifications and skills. Could put all under "Qualifications". Then we could have a separate "Skills" for soft skills? But we already have communication etc. Might be redundant.
Better: Have sections:
- About the role
- Responsibilities
- Qualifications (includes education, experience, preferred certifications, technical knowledge, skills)
- Benefits
We could also include a "Technical Requirements" subsection but not as separate heading if we want few sections.
Thus output:

But we need to ensure we didn't add info not present. The "Why V3?" bullet points we paraphrased; we must preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. We can keep them as a list within the About the role section. Better to keep them as bullet list (- ) to preserve details. So we can include a
- with those points.
Thus About the role: intro paragraph + bullet list of Why V3 points.
Now Responsibilities:
- ... each duty.
- ... each bullet.
Responsibilities
