Responsibilities

  • Operating several table games on an assigned shift
  • Working knowledge of all table games, house rules, counting methods and procedures covering each
  • Affirms that all coin and check racks are filled at all times
  • Settles disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring those that are exceedingly difficult to the Casino Manager, Table Games or Director of Table Games
  • Ensures guest development by interacting, modeling interactive skills with guests and making company decisions
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by Table Games employees or gaming guests and reports any situations to assigned superior
  • Observes problems or differences between Table Games employees and gaming guests and provides assistance if necessary
  • Recommends changes in department including hiring, promotion, demotion, and termination; recommends wage and salary changes for personnel within established limits
  • Counsels, guides, coaches and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties
  • Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance review of assigned personnel

Qualifications

  • Effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner
  • Presents a neat and professional appearance
  • Requires a minimum age of 21
  • Requires ability to perform basic math functions
  • Requires flexibility to work various shifts
  • Requires minimum of 2 years pit operation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures pertinent to PIT operations
  • Prior professional cleaning experience preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to respond calmly in a demanding environment, manage multiple tasks under time constraints
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money
  • Must have excellent vision (including peripheral) to protect the games
  • Must be able to tolerate secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
  • Must be able to walk and be on foot for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to manage a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner
