Dual Plant Coordinator- 2nd Shift
Hourly rate: $23 per hour
Schedule: 3:30 pm – 2:00 am (2nd shift)
About the Role
This position coordinates all material flow between plants to ensure AVC has parts and sub-assemblies needed at all work centers at the right time. The role involves coordinating, kitting, packaging, and expediting with multiple work centers to meet manufacturing schedules and customer requirements. The individual will be self-motivated and disciplined to continuously improve supply chain tools and communication between the two plants.
This position will split time between the Avery Creek and Asheville Plant locations.
Responsibilities
- Utilize DMM, AS 400, Microsoft Outlook for emails & meetings, DMR program, and Enovia
- Review status of orders and materials to identify future requirements
- Retrieve Non-Kanban orders from designated rack at the Paint Line to prepare for shipping
- Kit Kanban Parts from Heywood
- Expedite material as needed to ensure availability for production requirements
- Navigate Enovia to compare engineered prints to manufactured parts
- Communicate to the team any Kanban parts that are stock-out or stock-low
- Perform lifting, bending, ladder work, and other forms of movement as required
- Assure work area is neat and orderly; perform Daily 5S
- Retrieve paperwork from the Reproduction Team
- Drive Milk Run as needed
- Other assignments as necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution
- 1 year of direct manufacturing experience or equivalent
- Must be within a 50-mile radius of the work location (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates exempt from geographical limitation)
- Strong organizational skills
- Forklift and Powered Industrial Vehicle certification or eligibility to acquire
- Crane certification or eligibility to acquire
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
- Proven history of safe work habits
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, etc.
- Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Material Handling/Supply Chain experience
- Working knowledge of LVA operations
- Associate degree in a related field
- Enovia experience
