DSP Generalist | Weekends | Multiple Locations

The Arc of Centre County is hiring Program Generalists/Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes throughout Centre County (State College, Bellefonte, or Howard, PA).

Pay

Starting pay: $19/hour. Additional compensation includes:

• $1/hour shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Up to $600 sign-on and stay-on bonus in 2026
• Earn an additional $1/hour for each NADSP credential level, up to $3/hour

Schedule

• Part-time: 24-32 hours on weekends
• Flexible support across multiple residential and community-based programs

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, including cooking, hygiene, and household routines
• Administer medications and follow support plans
• Provide transportation to appointments and community outings
• Build meaningful relationships while supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to pass required physical and TB screening
• Able to assist with physical supports including lifting, bending, standing, and transferring as needed

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A)
• Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or healthcare
• Previous DSP experience
