DSP Generalist | PT Weekends

Part-time, weekend-only role supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes across Centre County.

Pay

• $19/hour base pay
• Additional $1/hour shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Up to $600 sign-on and stay-on bonus in 2026
• Additional $1/hour for each NADSP credential level earned (up to $3/hour)

Schedule

• 24–32 hours per weekend
• All training is paid

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, including cooking, hygiene, and household routines
• Administer medications and follow support plans
• Provide transportation to appointments and community outings
• Build meaningful relationships while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to pass required physical and TB screening
• Able to assist with physical supports including lifting, bending, standing, and transferring as needed

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A)
• Preferred: Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or healthcare
• Previous DSP experience preferred but not required

About the Role

The Arc of Centre County supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes located in State College, Bellefonte, or Howard, PA. Program Generalists work across multiple residential programs, providing flexible support where it is needed most while gaining experience with a variety of individuals, services, and teams. This role is ideal for individuals with weekend availability and previous DSP experience.
