DSP Generalist / Multiple Locations

The Arc of Centre County is hiring a Full-Time DSP Generalist to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A) in their homes and communities. This is a multi-site role with homes located in State College or Bellefonte, PA.

Pay

• Starting pay: $20/hour
• Additional $1/hour for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Up to $1,200 sign-on bonus
• Opportunities to pick up extra shifts and overtime
• NADSP credentialing: earn up to $3 more per hour

Schedule

• Full-Time (Part-Time also available)
• Paid training: 26 hours/year

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Able to pass required physical and TB screening
• Able to assist with physical supports including lifting, bending, standing, and transferring as needed

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A)
• Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or healthcare

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living like cooking, hygiene, and routines
• Administering medications and following support plans
• Encouraging community participation, recreation, and social activities
• Providing transportation to appointments and community outings
• Building meaningful relationships while making a difference every day

About the Role

As a DSP Generalist, you'll work at multiple residential programs throughout State College and Bellefonte, PA. This role is ideal for someone with DSP experience who enjoys variety, flexibility, and the chance to gain experience supporting different individuals, teams, and service models.

The DSP Generalist position offers growth opportunities, including professional development through NADSP credentialing (earn an extra $1/hour per credential, up to $3) and a culture of internal promotion. Many of our Director-level and Executive-level administrators started as DSPs.
