DSHS YVS Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN
Yakima Valley School is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This nurse checks on residents, gives medications, and watches for changes in health. The work keeps residents safe and helps them stay as healthy and independent as possible.

Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of people with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- Administer medications and treatments to residents to maintain and improve their overall health.
- Practice infection control concepts.
- Promote a safe environment for our residents.
- Contact physicians and guardians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Washington State, or the ability to obtain a valid license prior to employment.

Employees driving on state business must have a valid driver's license. Employees driving a privately owned vehicle on state business must have liability insurance on the privately owned vehicle.
