Start rate: $28.10 per hour with a $1000 retention bonus.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Produce high-quality products in a safe and healthful manner.
- Maintain assigned shift attendance.
- Add hand-adds to dry mixes.
- Run and monitor the system on a continuous basis.
- Perform weekly start-ups, shut-downs, and clean-ups.
- Conduct minor maintenance of department equipment.
- Maintain sanitation in production and preparation areas.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
- Perform manual tasks to keep the system running.
- Work as part of a team and assist fellow employees as needed.
- Record periodic Quality Control checks.
- Test, scale, and unload major and minor ingredient trucks.
- Continuously monitor systems on screens and respond to problems.
Requirements
- High-school degree or equivalent is required.
- 1 or more years of manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to report to work on time and complete the entire scheduled shift.
- Ability to handle and manage stress in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a “can-do” mindset.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
- Team player attitude with the ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to work alone and make decisions independently.
- Good time management and initiative.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of tools.

- Basic knowledge of diagrams and schematics.

Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMPs, and general instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand and lift.
- Stand and walk at minimum 70% of the time.
- Work 8-hour rotating shifts with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
- Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds; frequently lift 30-35 pounds.
- Frequently squat, kneel, and bend.
- Work in a cold (40-50 degree) environment.
- Tolerate exposure to flour and yeast materials.
- Climb steps and vertical ladders 10ft high on a frequent basis.
- Work with automatic equipment, pressurized air hoses, high-pressure hoses, strahman water hoses (hot-steam injected water), and very hot piping.
Work Environment
- Hot in summer, cold in winter.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
