About the role
As a Process Technician, you will operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands. Work with top-of-the-line blow molding and extrusion equipment from industry leaders such as Sidel and Husky, as well as proprietary technologies in a clean, safe, and climate-controlled food-grade facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers.
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Perform quality checks to ensure Plastipak customer requirements are met, including bottle weights and dimensions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing Process Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production.
- Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical-mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Schedule
Full-time associate with set 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-week standard schedule: 3 days on, then 4 days off, resulting in 15 working days per month.
Nights: 6:30pm – 7:00am (3-2-2-3 schedule).
Pay
$24.50+/hr, depending on experience.
