About the role
Located in Honesdale, PA, Wayne County Drug & Alcohol is seeking a part-time Prevention Specialist Trainee. The role supports prevention and intervention programs for schools, parents, and community groups.
Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out school and community prevention activities
- Help prepare and deliver educational programs and presentations
- Maintain prevention records and enter data into the state system
- Take part in evaluating programs and identifying community needs
- Serve as a liaison at SAP meetings after required training
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
- Must meet the PA residency requirement
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation
- Pass a drug screening
Benefits
Position requires flexibility for irregular and evening hours. Employee may have overnight travel or out of County travel for meetings or training.
Pay
In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
Schedule
Seasonal, part-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Start time and hours depend on school schedule.
