Drop-In Center Specialist

Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania.

About the role

Responsible for providing support to management, peers, and participants of a Behavioral Health Drop-In support center. Demonstrates and reflects a commitment to the mission and values of Milestone by serving others with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drop-in callers, participants, visitors, and guests, including collecting attendance and identifying resource needs.
• Be supportive of volunteer initiatives assigned by supervisor.
• Assist with food bank orders, pick-up, and distribution (as needed).
• Support peer-related conflict resolution and report crisis or conflict situations to the Assistant Director of Empowerment Programs.
• Promote peer support, self-help, and empowerment.
• Assist with participant groups and conduct participant surveys.
• Perform clerical work as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Graduate and 2 or more years’ experience in social services with a basic understanding of behavioral health issues.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Act 33 and 34 clearances and FBI clearance, if applicable.

Pay

Minimum compensation: USD $15.00/Hr.

Employees have the opportunity to earn additional money through various incentive programs, including a $1,000 Employee Referral bonus for successfully referring someone to full-time employment.

Schedule

Full Time; 37.5 hours per week

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Monday through Friday
