Job Overview
Drop Crew is responsible for the installation of residential and commercial underground coax and fiber cable lines. Technicians are provided with a variety of equipment to bury drops in support of our customer.
Responsibilities
- Identify located utilities to prevent damage.
- Locate unmarked utilities and customer-owned equipment (e.g., dog fences, irrigation systems).
- Restore job sites to their original condition after work completion.
- Interpret work drawings and instructions, completing necessary paperwork.
- Review all requested and existing services with customers before installing new drops.
- Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
- Use handheld units for retrieving and clearing job tasks.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Document all tasks, timely and accurately.
- Ensure responsibility for any damages incurred during work.
Requirements
- Operate machinery including trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
- The ability to walk 1/2 mile + while operating a drop plow that places service cable.
- Able to work the schedule including overtime as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication ability.
- Able to work independently or as a team player.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Completion of background and MVR checks required.
