About the role
The Retail Rescue/CDL B Driver – Warehouse Associate position at the Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri involves operating the fleet vehicles, picking up orders, maintaining records, and collaborating with partners. Responsibilities
- Operate the Food Bank’s fleet vehicles
- Pick up and deliver orders from The Food Bank, local donors, and food pick-up routes
- Maintain records of food picked up on routes
- Collaborate on warehouse storage and shelf stocking
- Stock and load trucks for Mobile Pantry Drivers
- Verify orders are pulled according to the pick sheet for Delivery Drivers
- Return paperwork promptly to the appropriate team member
- Carry out duties while upholding the Core Values of The Food Bank
- Stock and load trucks for Mobile Pantry Drivers
- Travel to sites for Mobile Pantry Drivers
- Practice safe food handling and warehouse safety principles
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Provide excellent customer service
Requirements
- CDL B License
- Safe driving history
- Basic computer skills
- Adaptable to changing job duties
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform and calculate basic math
- Comfortable instructing individuals and groups
- Highly sensitive to the needs of the low-income community
- Take initiative and solve problems
- Good customer service skills
- Food Handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
