Driver, CDL B
About the role
We are hiring a Microbulk Driver in Bessemer, AL. This position offers a sign-on bonus of $5000 and a starting hourly wage of $28.00. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a start time of 4 a.m. and up to 12 hours daily, with seasonal overtime from May to September. The route covers Decatur, AL, and surrounding areas. The primary equipment used is a Class B Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles equipped with Class B Driver licenses, HAZMAT, tanker, and Airbrake endorsements.
- Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card, and endorsements.
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions or a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three (3) years.
- Work in a drug-free environment.
- Able to lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
- One (1) year of CDL driving experience in the last five (5) years or proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last five (5) years.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, tanker & Airbrake endorsements.
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
- Able to work in a drug-free environment.
- Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift Certification.
- Pallet Jack Certification.
- Experience with CO2.
- Experience with delivery involving multiple stops.
