Driver, CDL B

About the role

We are hiring a Microbulk Driver in Kentwood, MI for Traverse City, MI - Retail shop. The position requires weekend availability due to business needs and involves traveling 25%-50% of the time within the region, including layovers, with 1-2 weeks prior notice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip evaluations and complete all required documentation of the assigned vehicle on a daily basis, following the company operating procedures.
• Responsible for the safe and accurate loading/unloading and transporting of CO2 products for servicing, including climbing 14-foot ladders, operating battery and electric power tools, maneuvering equipment up to 500 lbs with a hand truck, and working overhead regularly.
• Obtain required signatures from customers as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, tanker & Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
• Able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving CO2 or any specialty gas experience is a plus but not required.
