Responsibilities
- To recruit qualified drivers who meet or exceed Marten Transport, Ltd. hiring criteria.
- To interview driver applicants over the phone and/or Internet for available positions.
- To make sales presentations about Marten Transport, regarding benefits, pay, equipment, etc., to applicants.
- To track applicants through the entire application process, including DAC, motor vehicle records, and reference checking.
- To process and verify histories by calling, faxing, and writing to employment references.
- To make hiring decisions using hiring criteria to determine qualifications and suitability for employment as a Marten Driver.
- To notify approved applicants of orientation day schedule and administer travel arrangements for newly hired drivers.
- To promote the driver referral program and other recruiting programs.
- To report to the Recruiting Supervisor on issues and problems as needed.
- To occasionally travel to recruiting functions.
- To perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Training
- Absorbed an associates degree or three years of applicable experience in the transportation industry or sales.
