About the Role
The Driver Recruiter will recruit qualified Owner Operators and establish a pipeline for future driver demands. You’ll build lasting relationships centered on our core values: Safety First, Family, Passion, People Oriented, Creativity, and Positive Energy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct day-to-day Owner Operator recruiting activities, following processes and acting as a resource throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Source and develop a pool of qualified Owner Operator applicants using traditional and non-traditional techniques (social media, cold calling, networking, job fairs, agencies, internet searches, postings, etc.).
- Cold call lead apps, short forms, and previous IntelliApps.
- Communicate driver opportunities to prospective candidates.
- Determine qualified Owner Operators by reviewing background and MVR reports, interviewing applicants, and comparing qualifications to requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments and terminal personnel to ensure all required application files are obtained and submitted.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and contracting Owner Operators in a corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven success in creative sourcing to produce diverse, quality candidate pools.
- Strong engagement, partnership, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, exceed KPIs, and make prompt decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous experience with Tenstreet preferred but not required.
