Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in identifying new media sources
- Keep updated with industry trends in advertising
- Handle driver/contractor inquiries professionally
- Respond to inquiries promptly
- Present job and requirements honestly and accurately
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company driver requirements, pay scale, and benefits package
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contractor operator and equipment requirements, pay scale, and benefits package
- Travel as needed to recruit applicants
- Maintain recruiting packages at terminal locations
- Arrange transportation and lodging for drivers and owner-operators attending Orientation
- Verify that company drivers, owner-operators, contract drivers, and equipment meet minimum company standards
- Arrange for DOT physical and road test prior to Orientation
- Arrange interviews between applicant and terminal manager
- Arrange for pre-lease inspection of contractor’s tractor
- Complete written employment verification for previous 4 years, run DAC and MVR on applicant
- Arrange for applicant to complete application package and related materials
- Ensure applicants have accurately filled out an employment or contractor application
- Review all initial hire or lease paperwork with applicants, ensuring they understand what is being signed
- Ensure all required paperwork is signed and dated
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of given area of specialty
- Communicate efficiently with driver candidates, including explanation of job, duties, and requirements
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
- High School education required
- College course work or degree in relevant field preferred
Skills Required
- Knowledge of professional commercial driving skills, federal safety regulations governing professional drivers, and proper mechanical operation of equipment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments
- Proficiency in company’s standard software products, including Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in company’s standard software products, including word-processing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Hybrid of remote and in-office work
- Able to work with interruptions and deadlines
- After-hours and weekend work may be required
