Driver (Part time)

About the role

As a Driver / Utility Person you will deliver and pick up product to and from suppliers and customers, ensuring that parts are transported without damage and to the correct destination. Additionally, you will work in the shop on various tasks before and after making pickups and deliveries if needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver parts to and from the assigned destinations.
• Ensure parts are not damaged in transport
• Ensure proper paperwork accompanies correct parts
• Deburr / Clean parts (Only if there aren’t deliveries or pickups to be made)
• Help in Shipping Department as needed (Only if there aren’t deliveries or pickups to be made)
• Complete daily safety checklist
• Keep vehicle clean
• Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, with a safe driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Must be able to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use a Hand Truck and a Pallet Jack.
• Must operate Company vehicle daily.
• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Must be able to frequently sit, drive, stand and walk.
• Must be able to work on a computer.
• Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 90% of time.

Schedule

Core hours are 9:00am – 2:30pm, but may vary based on business needs. Travel up to 95% of time.
