Driver (Part time)

About the role

The Pursuit family of companies is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, committed to operational excellence, customer service, and innovation. This role is based in Eastford, CT, with frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver parts to and from the assigned destinations
• Ensure parts are not damaged during transport
• Debur and clean parts (if deliveries or pickups are not scheduled)
• Help in the shipping department as needed
• Complete daily safety checklists
• Keep the vehicle clean
• Observe all company policies, rules, and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship
• Able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

• Strong communication skills
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Self-starter/motivated team player

Working Conditions

• Must be able to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to use a hand truck and pallet jack
• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using personal protective equipment
• Must be able to frequently sit, drive, stand, and walk
• Requires frequent use of a computer
• Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 90% of the time
