About the role
We are seeking healthcare enthusiasts to join our team dedicated to providing the best primary care environment for patients. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transporting patients to their appointments in a courteous and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and return of patients as per schedule.
- Stays in contact with the office to report any change in schedule including any patient cancellations.
- Affixes to patients to get in and out of the vehicle.
- Affixes to assist patients with wheelchair.
- Ensures the safety of all passengers.
- Works flexible shifts as work dictates.
- Delivers, Holter monitors, and miscellaneous pick-ups as needed.
- Transport patient to hospital or specialist office.
- Checks and maintains van daily and ensures that it is mechanically safe and clean.
- Reports any incident or accidents to the supervisor and management immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Up to 1 year driving experience required; patient transportation preferred.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local streets and addresses.
- Customer service skills.
- Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies:
- Valid Drivers license.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to transport members in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and location.
- Must be able to comply with company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Must have basic mechanical skills i.e. ability to check and fully inspect their vehicles daily.
Job Requirements
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, lift, carry and move objects.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit intermittently and occasionally climb.
- The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Physical demands include ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
