Driver (Part-Time)

About the role

Ivy Park at Woodland Hills is seeking a Part-Time Driver to join our team. This position operates Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-5:30pm, with additional weekday shifts as needed based on community needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe driving of community vehicles on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of residents and their belongings onto and off of community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving.
• Demonstrate safe driving to ensure punctuality and safety in transporting people.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prior experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• May be required to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and PPE to prevent the spread of communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
