Driver Orientation & Training Coordinator

Position Summary

Sought Driver Orientation & Training Coordinator to lead classroom-based orientation and onboarding for newly hired CDL drivers. This role ensures drivers are properly trained on company policies, safety procedures, compliance requirements, and operational expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new driver orientation and onboarding programs.
• Present company policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Train drivers on FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, ELD usage, and safety requirements.
• Review driver handbooks, company manuals, and compliance documents.
• Auxiliary drivers with completing onboarding paperwork and required forms.
• Cook up coordination with Safety, Recruiting, Dispatch, and HR departments during the onboarding process.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
• Evaluate driver understanding and ensure all required training is completed.
• Answer questions and provide support to newly hired drivers.
• Assist with ongoing driver training and safety meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry preferred.
• Experience as a driver trainer, safety coordinator, dispatcher, fleet manager, or CDL driver is a plus.
• Strong public speaking and classroom presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
