About the role
The Driver Training Center Coordinator plays a crucial role in shaping the safety and efficiency of our transportation operations by designing, executing, and managing thorough training initiatives for all personnel involved in passenger vehicle transportation and operation.
Responsibilities
Design and develop training programs that cover all aspects of passenger vehicle transportation, including safety protocols, operational procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure that training materials are up-to-date and reflect the latest USDOT regulations and industry’s best practices.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective training content.
Oversee the delivery of training programs through various methods, including in-person sessions, online courses, and hands-on workshops.
Ensure that training sessions are conducted by qualified instructors and that all training materials are accessible to employees.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Ensure that all training programs comply with USDOT regulations and requirements.
Develop and implement safety training programs that address the specific risks and challenges associated with passenger vehicle transportation.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify training needs and opportunities for employee development and career advancement.
Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to help them achieve their professional goals.
Develop and implement succession planning programs to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for key positions.
Establish performance metrics and benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to help employees improve their skills and knowledge.
Conduct regular evaluations of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with other departments, including operations, safety, and human resources, to ensure that training programs align with organizational goals and objectives.
Communicate training goals and objectives to employees and stakeholders.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
Four (4) years of verifiable, full-time professional training and safety experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of USDOT regulations and requirements for passenger vehicle transportation.
Exhibit strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with others.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher) and training software and tools.
Willing to travel occasionally to various locations for training sessions and assessments.
Be prepared to work outside regular business hours when necessary to support training schedules.
Must be an excellent communicator with strong listening skills, build strong relationships, be flexible and open-minded, negotiate effectively, solicit performance feedback, and manage constructive criticism.
Skilled in computer use, able to adapt to new technology, stay abreast of changes, learn new programs quickly, and use technology to improve productivity.
Ability to create training material for both in-person and virtual instruction.
Valid driver’s license and access to a properly insured vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
Position-related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of a degree.
Applicants without a degree should include a statement detailing their qualifying experience with the application.

Pay
$60,000 - $70,000.00 per year
