Driver License Examiner Assistant - Norristown

About the role

This position supports driver licensing operations by greeting customers, verifying identities, and processing applications at the Driver License Center. The role helps ensure safe and accurate service through clear communication, testing, and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet applicants, answer questions, and explain licensing requirements
• Review identification documents to ensure accuracy and authenticity
• Administer standardized knowledge tests and vision screenings for licensing applicants
• Enter application details and test results into online software systems
• Assist with renewals, duplicates, transfers, and specialized license needs
• Follow all customer service, REAL ID, and fee waiver regulations

Schedule

• Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch
• Overtime and travel may be required
• No telework option available

Requirements

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public
• Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment
