The Driver Lead is responsible for overseeing Driver associates, completing required paperwork and reports, overseeing driver operations, and providing the necessary leadership to ensure the achievement of departmental goals. The Driver Lead is a working role where they will be taking care of daily deliveries while also providing leadership for driver’s crew. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 4:00am to 12:30pm. Pay Rate: $24.00/hour You Will Conduct meetings with Driver associates, including monthly safety huddleOverseeing driver associates and driver operationsComplete the required paper, including sending to Transportation Management, reports such as driver logs, driver meal forms, hazmat information, and any compliance paperworkNotify Branch Leadership/ Transportation Manager about work-related problems and/or proceduresEnsure safety regulations and safety policies are followed, and required safety equipment is available and maintainedParticipate in training seminars and company meetingsFoster an atmosphere that enhances team cohesivenessProvide direction to ensure adherence to department guidelines, policies, and proceduresParticipate in reviewing, selecting, and hiring new associates You Have A valid commercial driver’s licenseMust be able to pass a DOT Medical ExamA good driving recordGood organizational, time management, and leadership skillsKnowledge of warehouse functions/operationsKnowledge of Commercial Motor Vehicle operations and regulationsStrong communication skillsMicrosoft Outlook and Excel knowledge is a plus We offer a dynamic environment for our more than 13,000 employees to work, learn, and grow professionally.
