Driver - Cylinder

About the role

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Driver to join our team in Morrisville, PA. This role involves driving, cylinder handling, and various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of Customer Service while delivering products and managing empty cylinders
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures
• Load and unload product from weekly shuttle truck
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and associated equipment
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures
• Operate and maintain forklift truck and other plant vehicles

Requirements

• High School Degree / G.E.D. or equivalent
• At least two (2) years driving experience or completion of a course of instruction from a truck driver training school
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• Current medical examiner’s certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical
• Class B CDL required
• Ability to obtain Hazmat certification within 60 days of hire
• Two (2+) years experience in plant or manufacturing environment preferred
• Read and write in English
• Must be 21 years or older

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to pass a DOT physical
• Hazmat Certification (if not already obtained)
