Driver (Class B)

Position Overview: Responsible for pick-up and delivery between service centers and customers, ensuring safety, professionalism, and timeliness. Tasks include manual lifting, operating straight trucks, securing freight, performing safety inspections, and communicating with dispatch. Key Responsibilities: Operate trucks, meet delivery schedules, provide excellent customer service, secure freight with tools, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, handle freight using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, complete documentation, and comply with safety and hazardous materials regulations. Additional duties include loading/unloading, recouping damaged freight, and maintaining records. Qualifications & Skills: Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tank endorsements; at least one year of relevant driving experience or completion of a driver development course. Must be 21+, possess good communication skills, acceptable MVR, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to read schedules, work independently or in teams, and follow instructions is essential. Working Conditions: Work outdoors and indoors, driving in various weather and road conditions. Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials under DOT regulations. Flexibility in working hours based on operational needs.
