Driver (Class B)

Position Overview: Responsible for pick-up and delivery between Service Centers and customers, ensuring a professional, safe, and timely service. Tasks include manual lifting, operating straight trucks, and handling freight in a multi-temperature environment. Key Responsibilities Operate straight trucks and ensure delivery schedules are metProvide friendly, professional customer service and solicit new business opportunitiesSecure freight using pallets, straps, and ropesPerform daily safety inspections and follow dispatch instructionsSecure and verify freight, complete documentation, and maintain recordsLoad, unload, and assist with freight handling using appropriate equipmentComply with hazardous materials regulations and vehicle tire chaining as neededAdhere to all laws, regulations, and company policiesPerform other duties as required Qualifications & Skills Valid CDL-B license with hazardous materials and tank endorsementsAt least one year of recent experience with straight trucks or completion of a driver development courseExcellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skillsAcceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, perform basic math, read schedules, and work independently or in a team Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials.
