Driver (Class B)

Position Overview: Responsible for pick-up and delivery between service centers and customers, ensuring safety, professionalism, and timeliness. Tasks include operating straight trucks, securing freight, performing safety inspections, and maintaining documentation. Key Duties Operate straight trucks and freight handling equipmentEnsure delivery schedules and customer service standards are metSecure freight using pallets, straps, and ropesPerform pre-trip, post-trip, and safety inspectionsCommunicate with dispatch regarding delays, issues, and arrivalsComplete documentation, collect freight charges, and maintain recordsLoad and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacksFollow hazardous materials regulations and company policiesPerform additional duties as required Qualifications & Skills Valid CDL-Class B with hazardous materials and tank endorsementsAt least one year of recent experience operating similar vehicles or completion of a driver development courseExcellent customer service and communication skillsGood math, reading, and understanding of route schedulesAbility to lift up to 100 pounds and work in various weather conditionsAbility to follow instructions, work independently, and operate manual and motorized equipment Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor environments, driving on all roads and weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials under DOT regulations.
