Compensation and Benefits

Competitive hourly wages starting at $30.00‑$38.00 per hour with opportunity for tips and overtime; $10,000 sign‑on bonus. Top Class A earnings can range between $70,000 and $120,000 per year (wages, tips, referral incentives, bonus included).

Responsibilities

• Transport shipments to and between warehouses, residential locations, commercial job sites, and military bases.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on assigned truck to ensure travel worthiness.
• Assist in vehicle preparation before leaving the branch location, ensuring all materials are properly loaded.
• Maintain accurate logs and ELD entries.
• Lift, pack, load, and unload vehicles safely as required.
• Write complete and accurate inventories of household contents, office goods, or furniture when needed.
• Read, write, and comprehend English; perform mathematical calculations for weights, measurements, volumes, and distances.
• Provide guidance and organization to crew in line with the “Olympia Way,” fostering a collaborative team approach.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
• Complete background check, maintain a positive driving record, and keep a current DOT medical card and other required certifications.

Requirements

• Valid Class A driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of driving experience; experience in the moving industry is a plus.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Qualified and capable of operating 26‑foot trucks, tractor‑trailers, and handling 20‑foot and 40‑foot containers.
• Ability to safely lift, pack, load, and unload cargo.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Strong mathematical skills for weight, measurement, volume, and distance calculations.
• Willingness to work early a.m. hours for dispatch and maintain a flexible schedule.

Schedule

Full‑time position with a flexible schedule; early morning hours may be required for dispatch. Candidates can indicate their availability.
