Driver - City

Role Overview: This position involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely and safe transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate various tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.Perform daily safety and pre-trip equipment inspections.Hook/unhook trailers, handle freight using motorized/manual equipment, and secure cargo with straps, pallets, and ropes.Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and collect freight charges.Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and solicit new business.Assist with tire chaining, and perform duties of road or dock roles if needed.Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills Valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), DOT regulatory compliance, and ability to meet LCV standards in applicable states.Strong basic math, communication skills, physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the capacity to work independently or in teams. Working Conditions: Drive in various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, and diesel fumes, with possible hours varying based on operational needs.
