Driver - City

Position Overview: This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting the sales process, and ensuring efficient transportation operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, perform daily safety inspections, hook/unhook trailers, handle freight using various equipment, secure freight inside trailers, verify documentation, and comply with hazardous material regulations. Communicate with dispatch and customers, demonstrate customer service, solicit additional business, perform tire chaining if needed, and adhere to all laws and company policies. Qualifications & Skills: Must possess a Class A CDL with relevant endorsements, including hazardous materials, and meet all DOT requirements. Requires at least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course. Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in teams. Basic communication skills are necessary. Working Conditions: Drive in various weather and road conditions, with exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Hours may vary based on operational needs.
