Driver - City

Position Overview This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring safe and efficient transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate various truck combinations, perform safety inspections, hook/unhook trailers, handle freight with motorized/manual equipment, secure cargo, verify documentation, and comply with hazardous material regulations. Communicate with dispatch and customers, solicit additional business, and maintain customer service standards. May perform tire chaining and other operational duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Require a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements. Must have recent driving experience or complete a driver development course, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and meet DOT regulations. Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and follow instructions. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential. Working Conditions Drive in various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and potential hazardous materials. Physical stamina for extended sitting, climbing, and lifting is required. Hours may vary based on operational needs.
