Driver - C Shift (M-TH 8PM - 6:30AM)

About the role

Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will operate a semi-tractor trailer to load and deliver products between the plant and warehouse, adhering to all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the shuttle vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy.
• Account for records involving trailer numbers and vehicle positioning.
• Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
• Communicate courteously and professionally using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with operations and warehouse personnel.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew; place safety wheel chocks to prevent trailer rolling.
• Exercise extra care with pup trailer movement, ensuring proper placement of trailer jack stands (locked position when at dock). Notify customers if no jack stand is installed.
• Properly use airline/electrical hookups and follow backing procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse and yard security.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned; work overtime as dictated by business needs (mandatory or voluntary).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience within the past 4 years.
• Hazmat endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) for tractor-trailer operation.
• Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures (mild to moderate during warmer and colder months).

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic, or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Pay

Expected base pay range is $28.50–$30.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.

Schedule

Full-time, C Shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
