Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Completes tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
- Makes sure items match purchase orders and packing slips and reports any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Fills orders for delivery; stores supplies and equipment in proper locations.
- Operates forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks.
- Drives company vehicles, including those weighing between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds GVW, when necessary.
- Serves as an emergency driver when needed for backup.
- (Non-CDL) Inspects vehicles and supplies for road safety.
- Prepares and maintains records according to company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction.
- Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor.
- Exercises limited latitude/independent judgment under close supervision.
- Typically requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy or awkward materials.
- Requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education And Experience
- An HS Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility are preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid Driver’s License from the State of Residence is required.
