Driver Associate
Job Summary
The Driver position is a safety-sensitive role requiring responsibility for transporting staff, patients, and visitors safely, promptly, and professionally. Drivers must operate vehicles under various weather and driving conditions, perform routine vehicle maintenance, and monitor parking areas for security concerns.

Essential Functions
- Provides transportation for employees, guests, and community groups to and from various locations
- Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment
- Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate
- Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route
- Maintains awareness of parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department
- Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in customer service or a related field
- Age 20 or older
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 days
- LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 days
- LIC-Drivers License - Endorsement A (Air Brakes) - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 days
- LIC-Commercial Drive License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 days
- LIC-Drivers License - Endorsement P (Passenger) - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 days
Requirements
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience, at least 20 years of age, CRT-BLS certification, Chauffeur License, Commercial Drive License, and Drivers License.
Skills
Required skills include operating vehicles in all weather and driving conditions, performing vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties, using the radio for communication, monitoring parking areas and grounds for security issues, and ensuring accurate documentation.
