DRC Custodian

About the Role

This is full performance work in support areas necessary to maintain program services and buildings, including building and grounds, security, and occasionally food service. The employee has controlling responsibility for completing assigned support tasks, with work performed under medium supervision following established custodial safety, sanitation, and health regulations. The role requires moderate physical exertion and involves routine, predictable duties that impact all clients and personnel. Pride in work and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards are essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean all offices, meeting rooms, reception, and common areas daily:
  • Vacuum rugs, sweep, mop, and wax floors
  • Dust, clean, and polish furniture and equipment
  • Empty all trash containers and place in outside dumpster/container
• Clean, scrub, and paint bathrooms, hallways, and other areas
• Sweep and mop all hallways and stairways daily; wax and buff floors weekly
• Clean all bathrooms twice daily
• Remove all trash and rubbish from the premises; remove snow and ice from sidewalks
• Clean walls twice yearly
• Maintain security of property; observe safety, sanitation, and fire regulations
• Maintain security and inventory of all cleaning products on client floors and in common areas
• Wash all windows, mirrors, and inside glass areas
• Perform groundskeeping chores as assigned
• Participate fully in assigned evacuation drills and understand emergency duties
• Request supervision when unclear about work, responsibilities, or duties
• Other duties as assigned by the operations management team

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred
• Ability to read and understand labels and instructions
• One (1) year of related experience preferred
