Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors.
- Remove clutter and dust furniture and surfaces.
- Clean windows and mirrors.
- Make minor repairs including but not limited to replacing light bulbs.
- Ensure proper disposal of trash, rubbish, and refuse including emptying recycle bins.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
- Complete minor maintenance related to appliances and/or grounds as needed.
- Absorb and assist with set up and/or breakdown of events as needed.
- Respond to all incoming correspondence and questions in a timely manner; including but not limited to inquiries received via email, telephone, text message, and fax.
- Ensure reasonable measures are taken to protect confidential and/or sensitive information as well as ensuring the security of all LSSI systems is maintained.
- Perform all required training assignments as well as comply with the related organizational, administrative, and programmatic policies.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
Position Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A background check clearance is required.
- One to two years of custodial (or janitorial) experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization and PC/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Access to reliable transportation is required.
- A valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency, is preferred.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage, is preferred.
