Drawing Analyst (Checker)

About the role

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is seeking a Drawings Analyst (Checker) for their corporate office in Memphis, TN or Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy in reflecting customer requirements and engineering designs as per customer specifications
• Verify engineering calculations match and perform required calculations to ensure all dimensions, tolerance limits, and other drawing details are correct
• Aid modelers in clarifying specification ambiguities and instruct them on necessary drawing changes
• Collaborate with fabrication facilities to resolve issues or provide clarification during fabrication processes
• Perform other duties as needed to support the overall success of the department

Requirements

• Minimum five years’ experience preparing drawings or working in a fabrication or manufacturing facility interpreting drawings
• Tubular poles experience preferred
• Associate's Degree or Computer Aided Drafting and Design preferred
• Steel structures modeling process experience preferred
• Familiarity with drawing standard symbols, nomenclature, reference books and catalogs encountered in product development
• Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing
