About the role
- Teach drama classes to students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging theater lessons
- Facilitate group activities and performances
- Support students' development of acting skills
- Maintain classroom materials and resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Theater Education or related field
- Teaching certification in Drama or related area
- Experience teaching theater to students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
- Passion for theater and education
- Effective time management and organization skills
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools
- Knowledge of current best practices in theater education
