About the role
Guidehouse is seeking financial management professionals to support our Department of Defense client. These teammates will bring a range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy. The team will provide:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures, and DoD organizational structures
- Financial audit statements and audit readiness services
- Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems
- Understanding of DoD acquisition, inventory, property, and material management
Requirements
- Active and maintained "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance; candidates must have approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science
- Three or more years of experience supporting Department of War (DoW) financial management, internal control, or audit remediation projects, including accounting, audit, budget, finance, internal controls, and other financial skillsets
Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration
- Experience in Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) 6 (Property, Plant and Equipment), 10 (Internal Use Software), 50 (Establishing Opening Balances for Property, Plant and Equipment), and/or 54 (Leases)
- Experience in OMB Circular A-123 and/or A-136
- One or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
- Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy
