About the role

Common Heart works to create a “small revolution of kindness” in our community to eradicate food insecurity and eliminate generational poverty. Common Heart serves under-resourced families and individuals in Union County, NC, and the surrounding area through 15 food pantry outreaches and Economic Empowerment programs. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Donor Services Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Donor Data Management: Maintaining accurate records in Keela (our CRM), entering donations from various sources, and generating giving reports.
  • Donation Processing: Researching and matching donations from online platforms, checks, and donor-advised funds, and preparing information for QuickBooks.
  • Donor Relations: Promptly and courteously contacting donors regarding unsuccessful payments or updates to their information.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Investigating discrepancies and reconciling Keela records with accounting records monthly.
  • Online Account Management: Monitoring giving platforms and employee-matching agencies for incoming donations and administrative requirements.
  • Team Support: Providing general administrative assistance to the Engagement Director and participating in staff meetings and planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.
  • A background check, reference check, and drug screening are required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in administrative support, data entry, bookkeeping, or donor services.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Keela or other Donor CRM, QuickBooks, Stripe, and other nonprofit fundraising environments.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use donor-management and payment-processing systems.

Pay and Schedule

Part-Time 15 hours per week and wage is $15-$17 per hour. Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
