About the role

We're hiring immediately, and we will train you! Whether you are just starting your career or have some phlebotomy experience, we're here to help you leverage the extensive phlebotomy training provided, develop your talents, and perform at your best. Your impact as a Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant's donor care team in setting up blood drives at locations within a 200-mile range while creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donors. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community.

Schedule

Shift: Shift 1 (United States of America)

Start Date: To be determined based on training completion.

Training Information

Training for this role lasts approximately 12 weeks and is based out of our Greentree location.

  • Weeks 1–2: Classroom and hands-on training with a trainer, including travel to various Donation Centers and mobile sites.
  • Weeks 3–4: Field experience alongside a preceptor on mobile drives and at site locations.
  • Weeks 5–12: Continued training in specific skilled areas could include Phlebotomy, Medical Interview, Alyx, and Trima (approximately 4 weeks per area).

After successfully completing training and final assessments at Greentree, team members may continue to travel to various fixed and mobile site locations as part of their regular schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Greet donors, keeping them comfortable and informed.
  • Perform blood draws (paid training provided).
  • Manage accurate and organized donor information.
  • Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • Active driver's license with a clean driving record - Required
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Able to lift 40 pounds - Required
