Facility Technician I

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Dolton, IL. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in building and equipment maintenance, as well as maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of facility grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, power washing, painting, and patching walls.
• Assist with basic repairs to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems under supervision.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for company events or office reconfigurations.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain outdoor areas, including lawns, landscapes, walkways, and parking areas, to ensure they are well-kept, clean, and safe.

Requirements

• Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: preventative maintenance, installations, basic welding knowledge, or basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work on weekends and overtime.
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects.
