Domestic Violence Agent Trainee #26-126NC

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of supervision for a Domestic Violence caseload under general supervision.
• Maintain a professional communication network inside and outside the Department.
• Promote public relations within the local community and with service providers.
• Maintain effective knowledge of all areas of Domestic Violence Supervision, Programs, Policies, and Protocols.
• Participate in trainings and maintain all requirements for Domestic Violence Certification.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
• An associate’s degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted.
• A high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Obtain C-1 law enforcement certification by the SC Criminal Justice Academy within 1 year of employment (12 weeks which includes an 8-week sequestration at the academy).

This is an entirely on-site, in-office position. The S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is a para-military organization. If considered for hire, applicants are subject to the following:
