Domain Architect, Infrastructure (Hybrid)
About the role
The Domain Architect at Eversource is responsible for applying technology to solve business problems in a supportable, cost-effective manner. They also contribute to the domain roadmap, standards, and practices into the overall Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Apply technology to solve business problems in a supportable, cost-effective manner
- Evaluate technologies against vendor product roadmaps, competitive products, and market trends
- Develop guidance for incorporating technology within the domain into solutions
- Define patterns and building blocks that leverage domain technologies in an optimal way
- Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
- Facilitate the research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards
- Provide technology consulting to solution architects and others who are using or modifying multiple domain technologies within a solution
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years in an IT Architect or Lead Subject Matter Expert role
- Minimum of 5 years related experience working with technology or application solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Advanced degree preferred
Skills
- Exposure to multiple, various technical configurations, technologies and processing environments
- Deep knowledge of one technical domain, or experience working with multiple technical domains
- Understanding of how the domains relate and can be assembled into comprehensive solutions that meet business and IT needs
- Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies
- Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM)
- Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, and the ability to manage smaller efforts
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical roles
- Knowledge of financial models and budgeting

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is: $131,090.00-$145,650.00
Schedule
Must be available to work emergency storm assignments as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, writing and typing. Work involves using a computer and telephone as well as personal communication.
