Dole Middle: Grade 6-8 Special Education Math & Sci Inclusion/Resource Teacher, 68333 (2026-03289)

Special Education Teacher position with the Hawaii State Department of Education.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required for all teacher, librarian, or counselor positions, except designated Career and Technology Education roles).
• Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire. If hired without completing a Teacher’s Education Program, you must enroll in and complete a program within 3 years to maintain employment.
• Active pursuit of Hawaii licensing requirements each year of employment, as set by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB).

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
• Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting.
• Experience planning and facilitating Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
• Ability to exercise independent and professional judgment, maintain an effective work pace under pressure, grasp new concepts quickly, and work collaboratively.
