Washington Middle: (26-27 SY Only) Grade 6-8 Special Education Resource Teacher, 71271 (2026-03221)

Position available for the 2026-2027 school year only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement for teacher, librarian, or counselor positions, except designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) roles).
• If hired without completing a Teacher’s Education Program, you must obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license within 3 years and enroll in a program immediately to continue employment.
• Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Special Education Mild/Moderate license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
• Special education mild/moderate classroom experience in a K-12 school setting.

• Plan and facilitate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
• Exercise independent and professional judgment in daily functions.

Pay
