Dog Walker and Handler

Responsibilities

• Greet dogs, get them ready, and ensure they are properly dressed (harness, collar, etc) and safely secured
• Walk dogs for the designated time over various routes
• Clean up after any dogs in your care and properly dispose of waste
• Keep dogs and people safe by having control over dogs at all times and following company protocols
• Use common sense and best dog walking practices to ensure dogs are safe and healthy while in care
• Send pictures and a written report to client through our company’s software system

Qualifications

• Experience working with dogs of multiple breeds and sizes desired
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation to and from client’s homes
• Reliable smart phone with data plan and an understanding of software systems
• The ability to walk several miles each day in a variety of weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of dog safety
